We Impact Cohort Stage 1 for International Universities
Sustainability is no longer optional for universities worldwide. International rankings increasingly factor in sustainability performance, accreditation bodies expect credible governance structures, and students as well as staff look for more than self declared commitments. With We Impact Stage 1, your university builds a recognised sustainability management system that is structured, independently verified, and ready to support funding applications and accreditation processes. The cohort guides you through four to six months, combining webinars, hands on phases, and individual feedback, together with other universities from around the world.

Who is this cohort for?
The cohort is designed for universities that want to build a structured approach to sustainability management, whether they are just getting started or already have some activities in place. It is particularly relevant for university leadership, sustainability officers, and staff from research, operations, or academic affairs who are driving sustainability forward at their institution. No prior experience is required.
How the cohort works
The cohort combines theory and practice in a structured rhythm. Five online webinars cover the core content, share practical examples from other universities, and create space for exchange within the group. In between sessions, participants translate what they have learned into their own institutional context, supported by university specific templates and individual feedback from our experts. Regular touchpoints keep the process on track. At the end, universities have the option to undergo the certification audit conducted by an independent auditor.
